Do not despise the professions of others. There are those who do more for GOD and for others with less than you. Do not despise the fruits of others. Success is not the result of chance. Do what GOD asks you to do and his blessing will accompany you . " Open your mouth for the mute, for the cause of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead for the poor and needy . " (Proverbs 31:8-9, NKJV) " Deliver those who are drawn to death, and who are about to be killed . If you say, 'Look, we knew nothing; will not He who weighs the hearts understand? And will not He who keeps your life understand? And will He not render to each one according to his work?'" (Proverbs 24:11-12, NIV) (2 Chronicles 19:5-7, NIV): 5 He appointed judges throughout the land, in every fortified city of Judah, 6 and he said to the judges, “ Be careful how you act , for you are not judging for human sakes, but for the LORD, and he will be near you when you give judgment. 7 Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be upon you . Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice, no partiality, no taking of bribes with the LORD our GOD. ” 🙂 As a teenager, I often hesitated between studying law, chemistry, and finance. My math, chemistry, and philosophy teachers each tried to convince my parents. Without regret, I chose finance, starting with accounting. However, I retained an interest in law. Particularly, business law. It was one of my favorite subjects. A lawyer is a legal professional whose job is to assist, advise, defend and represent their clients, whether legal entities or individuals, by pleading or asserting their rights. They advise their clients on their legal rights and obligations, on the one hand to protect them against discrimination or misuse of the law, and on the other hand to protect them or enable them to enjoy the benefits offered by a legal vacuum ( the absence of standards applicable to a given situation). Another of his duties is to draft documents ( statutes, contracts, negotiations, minutes, notices to general meetings, etc.). He conducts studies on legal subjects, does legal monitoring (new laws, regulations, case law). He is a generalist or specialist in one or more fields, or one or more types of services. On a daily basis, he works on several files in parallel and meets different types of people. One of the functions of JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT is to be our advocates (1 John 2:1, 1 Timothy 2:5). Intercessors are often compared to lawyers. Like lawyers, intercessors plead on behalf of others. They ask for the benefit of others. Like lawyers, intercessors remind the judge (GOD) of the law (GOD's promises) and ask for his clemency (mercy). Good advocates have qualities common to or similar to those of intercessors: faith, compassion, integrity, willingness to listen and study, perseverance, respect for confidentiality, listening, and analysis. The devil will always try to put obstacles in your way of anything that contributes to the expansion of the Kingdom, the promotion of Christian values, or simply to blessing people. Persecution has many faces . In some countries, the rights of Christian citizens are trampled on day after day. In the face of rights abuses, injustices, and unjust laws, GOD's solutions often come from those whose jobs are to teach, enforce, advise, defend, and propose laws . Some lawyers have won cases that have saved families and transformed nations. Some fight battles whose outcome will influence nations. What is a right in your country may not be elsewhere. Lawyers can be instruments of God. It is therefore good to pray for them. This is the invitation we are receiving today. Let us pray in tongues and with understanding. Let us pray for those who are instruments of GOD, who aspire to be so and who will be so. Let us also pray for those who have been in the past. So that if it is still possible, GOD will raise them up. Let us pray that GOD may direct their steps and increase their intelligence and wisdom. Let us pray that they will have the motivation, courage, determination, perseverance and support needed to champion just causes. Let us pray that they may have the character of CHRIST. Let us pray that they and their families may be healthy and prosperous in every way. Let us pray for the Salvation of those who are not yet in JESUS. Let us ask for their baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT. 🙂 I have no doubt that when we need it, GOD will connect us with good lawyers. I declare in the name of JESUS, we will not fall victim to bad legal advice. And they divided his garments among them, casting lots." Joshua fell on his face to the ground, worshipped and said, " What does my LORD say to his servant? " (Joshua 5: 13-14, SG21) ❖ " Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but let GOD's wrath work , for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will give to every man what he deserves, says the LORD. (Ephesians 4: 25-27, LSG) ❖ " 6 So we are always full of confidence and know that, as long as we dwell in this body, we are far from our homeland, far from the LORD, 7 for we walk by faith and not by sight . 8 Yes, we are full of confidence and would rather leave this body to go and live with the LORD. 9 For this reason, too, we strive to be pleasing to him, whether we live in this body or leave it. 10 For we shall all have to appear before the judgment seat of CHRIST, so that each one may receive the wages of what he has done, good or bad, while in the body.  "(2 Corinthians 5: 6-10, Segond 21) 5. Why leave vengeance and retribution to GOD? We began this series on forgiveness by defining what forgiveness is not (see the series on what forgiveness is not). As we have seen, forgiveness is not denial. Forgiveness is not oblivion. Forgiveness does not cancel out GOD's judgment, CHRIST's tribunal and the duty to repent. Forgiveness does not approve evil, nor does it cancel the right and duty to protect (to complain, to distance oneself, to defend oneself). Forgiveness is neither healing nor restoration of the soul. Forgiveness is not reconciliation. Forgiveness is not a feeling. Forgiveness is not an obligation. Forgiveness is a decision. Forgiveness is not an excuse to lie, an excuse to be irresponsible, a moral duty to cover up a crime, a social or religious obligation not to report a crime . Forgiving does not prevent us from lodging a complaint, reporting a crime to the police or testifying in court. We can forgive and press charges when necessary or required by law (see Yes, we can forgive and press charges ). GOD is not against the judicial system. But, He is against unjust laws and unjust judgments (Leviticus 19:15 + 17-18) .  We must report and denounce abuses, crimes, serious offences, medical errors, intimidation, mistreatment, violence, theft, state lies and any act or lie that undermines the life, health (physical, psychological and financial), mission and protection of an individual or group of individuals, physical or moral. The aim is to prevent recidivism, protect others, and initiate reparation. GOD does not ask us to be complicit in silence .  He asks us  not to use our freedom as a veil to cover wickedness (1 Peter 2:16). Of course, some offenses must be ignored.  Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Sometimes we're offended by ourselves . We must have the humility to recognize this and move on. We can be offended without sinning. Offenses are traps to lead us into sin, error, confusion and separation from GOD. They are invitations to do wrong. Some offenses need to be covered up. To be clear, I wrote offenses, not crimes. 🙂 Although vengeance and justice are often considered synonyms, there is a clear difference in dictionaries between "to obtain justice" and " to take justice or revenge". To take revenge is to obtain compensation by illegal means. It means punishing the perpetrator of a crime, offense or infraction without authorization.  Justice punishes. Revenge only causes suffering.  Punishment is a penalty imposed to sanction, deter, correct or compensate for a crime, fault, wrongdoing or mistake. The aim of justice is to protect, judge (pronounce a sentence, arbitrate), decide (decide, divide), punish, compensate and, as far as possible, repair. When vengeance is exercised outside of justice, its aim is simply to cause suffering. It is driven by pain, hatred, pride and ignorance.  Vengeance and justice are synonymous only if vengeance is exercised with justice. In other words, under the mandate of justice. The Greek word for vengeance in the New Testament is ekdikesis (Strong's no. 1557). It means vengeance, punishment and justice . GOD renders justice. His judgments or punishments are the vengeance of those who have suffered harm.    GOD's vengeance is exercised with justice . GOD does not cease to be good and just when he judges. It is because he is just and good that he avenges. GOD does not judge only the wicked. He judges the good and the bad. GOD does not discriminate (Acts 10:34, Ecclesiastes 12:15-16, 1 Timothy 5:24-25). He judges actions, words, feelings, intentions and thoughts. 🙂 Vengeance and retribution are GOD's for the following reasons: He himself says in his Word that vengeance and retribution belong to him.  (Galatians 6 :7-9, Romans 12:19 , Hebrews 10:30, James 4:12, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Ezekiel 18:21-24, Romans 8:1, Psalms 89:14-18, Deuteronomy 32:35, Leviticus 19:17-18, 2 Timothy 4:14-15, 1 Thessalonians 4:6, Isaiah 59:16-18).  He is perfectly and entirely Love, Truth, Holiness, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Eternal, righteousness, equity, wisdom and faithfulness. His love is unalterable. His motives will always be pure. He will always be just in His judgments. We may not know when and how GOD will judge. But we do know that sooner or later, one way or another, GOD will, in his own time. Waiting for GOD's judgment does not forbid us to lodge a complaint when necessary or required by law (see the article Yes, we can forgive and lodge a complaint ).  Let's read a few verses ❖ " As Joshua stood near Jericho, he lifted his eyes and looked.  Behold, a man stood before him, his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went up to him and said, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" He replied: "No. I am the leader of the army of the LORD , I am coming now." Joshua fell on his face to the ground, worshipped and said, " What does my LORD say to his servant? " (Joshua 5:13-14, SG21) ❖ " 1 He showed me Joshua the high priest, standing before the angel of the LORD , and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2 The LORD said to Satan: " May the LORD silence you, Satan, may the LORD silence you , he who chose Jerusalem! Is not this one a piece of wood torn from the fire? " 3 Now Joshua was wearing filthy clothes and standing before the angel. 4 The angel spoke up and said to those standing before him, "Take the filthy clothes off him!" Then he said to Joshua , "Look, I'm taking away your guilt and putting festive clothes on you." 5 I said, "Let them put a pure turban on his head!" They placed a pure turban on his head and put clothes on him. The angel of the LORD was there." (Zechariah 3:1-5, Second 21) The man opposite Joshua in the first text is JESUS, not the angel Mikael. He is also the one who, in the second text, says to Joshua the priest , " Look, I'll take away your guilt and put festive clothes on you. " (Zechariah 3:4) He didn't contradict Joshua when he called him LORD (Joshua 5:14). Just as JESUS did not contradict Thomas when the latter called him LORD (John 20:28-29). Only GOD, the SON, can take sin away from men, for only the SON has conquered sin, only the SON has given his life for men, only the SON is worthy to open the book of seals ( Revelation 5:1:14, John 10:18, John 3:16, Ephesians 1:2). The expression angel of the LORD is not a name but a description of a function and a belonging . The word angel means messenger, delegate, representative of => The SON is a servant of the FATHER (John 6:38, Acts 4:27). => The SON can therefore be called an angel of his FATHER . => ETERNAL being a name of GOD, the SON can therefore be called the angel of the ETERNAL. See the article , JESUS-CHRIST: eternal, angel of the ETERNAL and GOD the ETERNAL . Parenthesis : JESUS said to Satan " May the LORD silence you (Zechariah 3:2)", because at that time he had not yet received all authority from the FATHER. As a Man, he had not yet paid the price of our salvation and defeated the devil on the cross (Colossians 2:15). GOD gave Adam authority on earth (Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 8:6-7). Adam, unfortunately, gave the devil the authority he received from GOD. Glory be to JESUS, from whom we receive authority through faith and consecration. That said, until Adam's lease expires, the devil has power of influence on earth and freedom to bargain with human beings. Being in CHRIST enables us to resist him, to stop his works, to overthrow them, to call for GOD's intervention and judgment. When Joshua asked JESUS if he was for them or for their enemies, JESUS answered NO . (Joshua 5:13-14, SG21) Yet he stood by them, fighting for them, the people of Israel, the people of GOD. ❖ "LORD says: "I have seen the suffering of my people in Egypt, and I have heard their cries before their oppressors. Yes, I know their pain. I have come down to deliver them from the domination of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey; this is the place inhabited by the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites."  (Exodus 3:7-8, Segond 21) ❖ " You shall tell Pharaoh:  This is what the LORD says: Israel is my eldest son.  I command you to let my son go so that he may serve me.  If you refuse to let him go, I will kill your eldest son."  (Exodus 4:22-23, Segond 21) ❖ "Then the LORD said to Moses: arise early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him: thus said the LORD, the GOD of the Hebrews: let my people go, that they may serve me.  " (Exodus 9:13, Martin) ❖ "Your arm is mighty, your hand strong, your right hand high.  Righteousness and justice form the foundation of your throne; goodness and truth are before you. "(Psalms 89:14-15, Segond 21) ❖ " It's because of me, because of me alone, that I want to act. Indeed, how could I let myself be dishonored? I will not give my glory to another.  " (Isaiah 48:11, Segond21) 🙂 GOD judges to bring about justice. He is for justice before he is for a people . This is what his answer to Joshua means (Joshua 5:13-14). He judges the source, the intention, the thoughts, the words and the action . GOD avenges us, he avenges those we have offended and he avenges himself .  It's very important to understand this . He judges the good and the bad. That's why he tells us not to sin when we're angry (Ephesians 4:25-27).  Let's stop for a moment and pray in tongues for five minutes. I repeat, GOD avenges us, he avenges those we have offended and he avenges himself. GOD avenges himself on the devil and on mankind. Our salvation and the fulfillment of our destiny is one of GOD's greatest avenges (Isaiah 57:3-12). Knowing this helps us realize how important it is for our souls to be healed and restored. The casting of the devil into the lake of fire is also GOD's vengeance (Revelation 20:10). JESUS said that blasphemy against the HOLY SPIRIT will not be forgiven (Luke 12:10). So GOD will take vengeance for blasphemy against the HOLY SPIRIT. ❖ " There are six things that the LORD hates, and even seven that he abhors: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that meditates unjust schemes, feet that rush to evil, a false witness who tells lies and one who stirs up strife between brothers . "(Proverbs 6:16-19, Segond 21) ❖ " He sees that there is no one, he is dismayed when he sees that there is no one to intercede , so his arm assures him salvation and his righteousness serves as his support.  He puts on righteousness as a breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he takes vengeance for a garment, and wraps himself in zeal as in a mantle .  He will pay everyone the wages he deserves: wrath to his adversaries, the wages they deserve to his enemies; he will also pay the islands the wages they deserve." (Isaiah 59:16-18, Segond 21) ❖ " Make no mistake: GOD is not mocked. What a man sows, he will also reap .  He who sows to satisfy his own nature will reap ruin from it, but he who sows for the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. Let us not neglect to do good, for we shall reap at the proper time , if we do not slacken . " (Galatians 6:7-9, SG21) ❖ (Psalms 73:15-28, Sower) " 15 If I said, "Let us speak as they do," then I would betray your sons. 16 I began to think: I sought to understand, I found it all far too unjust 17 until the day I entered GOD's house and pondered the fate that awaits them. 18 For, in fact, you put them on a slippery slope, you lead them towards ruin. 19 And suddenly, disaster strikes: in an instant, they are lost, they are destroyed, and terror seizes them. 20 As the images of a dream fade away, after waking up, O LORD, when you intervene, you will make them all disappear. 21 Yes, when my heart was bitter and as long as I tormented myself, 22 I was a fool, an ignoramus, I behaved with you like a beast without reason. 23 But I am always with you, and you have grasped my right hand, 24 according to your plan, you lead me, then you will take me in glory. 25 Who have I in heaven but you? And here on earth what can I desire, for I am with you? 26 My body may be weary and my heart fail, GOD remains my rock, and my precious possession forever . 27 He who forsakes you will be lost, and you will destroy all those who are unfaithful to you. 28 But my happiness is to be always close to GOD. Yes, I have set my sure refuge in the LORD, in the ETERNAL, and I will tell of his works . " If someone has voluntarily wronged you by doing something GOD hates or condemns, GOD will take revenge. And in taking vengeance, he will avenge you . Because before offending you, that person offended GOD. He won't take vengeance only or primarily on the one who hurt you. He will take revenge on the spirit that manipulated or inspired the one who hurt you. This is why being in the image of CHRIST (through the assistance of the HOLY SPIRIT) is vengeance. Making all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28), is GOD's vengeance. Praising GOD in distress when the devil thinks he's won, when people think there's nothing to hope for, is vengeance. Sharing your testimony to strengthen someone or prevent them from making the same mistakes as you, is vengeance . Do you understand what I'm getting at? When we have the right definition of what vengeance is, from GOD's point of view, it becomes easy for us to forgive and apply the verses Matthew 5:44-48. GOD forgives, but GOD is not irresponsible.  Don't be afraid to forgive - see the articles What forgiveness is not (P.1) and Yes, we can forgive and complain . Parenthèse   Obedience is proof of submission, but not all obedience is a sign of submission. Submission is not limited to obedience. To obey under duress is not to be submissive. Obedience is the act of carrying out an action, a direction or an order at someone's request. We owe GOD total (absolute) submission, and therefore total obedience. To men and organizations, we owe relative submission, therefore, obedience within the limits firstly of what GOD authorizes, then within the limits of the law and internal regulations authorize.  Martin Luther King Jr (1929 - 1968) said " Everyone has the moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws ." He added " An individual who breaks a law which his conscience tells him is unjust, and who voluntarily accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to awaken the conscience of the community to that injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law ." We saw above that GOD's vengeance is exercised in justice. So, to leave vengeance (judgment) and retribution to him means: to appeal to justice, to ask for his intervention, to submit to him and benefit from his vengeance. In other words, to obtain judgment and retribution in our favor.  This retribution includes healing and restoration of the soul, and measures of anointing, grace, favor and authority. ISSAND õnnistagu Meaza Ashenafit . Loodan mõne aasta pärast temast biograafilist filmi näha. Ta on eeskuju, kingitus miljonitele naistele Aafrikas ja mujal. ANDEKAD KÄED: Ben Carsoni lugu Paljude jaoks see film enam ei ole mõeldud. Mõnes koolis on dr Carsoni elulugu alati loetavate raamatute nimekirjas. Film on ilmalik, aga neurokirurg Ben Carson on kristlane.  See oli mu isa, kes seda filmi tutvustas (ammu aega tagasi). Kuna ma ei mäletanud raamatu pealkirja, olin loo meelde jätnud. (Jeremiah 17:5-8, NIV) : " 5 This is what the LORD says: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, who makes flesh his strength, and whose heart departs from the LORD ! 6 He is like a juniper tree in the plain, which sees no good coming; he dwells in the parched places of the wilderness, a salt land without inhabitant. 7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and puts his hope in him! 8 He is like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the streams; it does not perceive when the heat comes, yet its leaves remain green . In a year of drought it will not fear, nor will it cease to bear fruit ." As I wrote in previous articles, the one who is called "a man of GOD" is called "a young prophet" in several translations of the Bible. In the original Hebrew texts and in the French Jewish Bible it is written "a man of God" and "not a young prophet." 4. Death (1 Kings 13:20-34) ❖ (1 Kings 13:20-23, NIV) : 20 As they were sitting down to eat, the word of the LORD came to the prophet who had brought him back. 21 He called out to the man of GOD who had come from Judah, saying, “This is what the LORD says: Because you have rebelled against the commandment of the LORD and have not kept the commandment that the LORD your GOD commanded you, 22 because you have turned back and eaten and drunk at the very place about which he said to you, 'You shall not eat or drink there,' your body will not enter the tomb of your ancestors ." 23 Then, when the prophet whom he had brought back had eaten and drunk, he saddled the donkey for him. As we saw earlier, GOD's servant returned to Bethel with the old prophet. While they were eating, the Lord rebuked his servant. But the latter did not repent. He continued to eat and drink, as if nothing had happened. Didn't this man of GOD have the fear of the LORD? That same day, GOD used him to warn Jeroboam and the prophets of the pagan deities. GOD had paralyzed Jeroboam's hand before his eyes (1 Kings 13:4). He had prayed that GOD would restore Jeroboam's hand (1 Kings 13:6). I wonder: Why did he continue to drink and eat? Did he think that an angel would suddenly appear and say the opposite of what GOD had just said? Why did the old prophet serve him food and drink? Did the young prophet's life matter so little to him? What did they think they would gain by tempting GOD? Why did none of them repent? GOD had told the young prophet not to take anything. But even this recommendation was not respected . He returned, he drank, he ate and he accepted a donkey (the old prophet's donkey). I am sure that he also disobeyed the last recommendation. He surely returned by the same way he had taken. ❖ (1 Kings 13:24-25, Segond 21) : 24 The man of GOD set out again and on the way he met a lion which killed him. His body remained lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion beside him. 25 Some travelers saw the body lying on the road, with the lion beside it, and they reported it when they arrived in the city where the old prophet lived. What a deplorable ending. May this never happen to us! Let us learn from this story. We certainly go from surprise to surprise. Here's another one. The lion is a carnivorous animal. It killed the prophet but did not attack the donkey. Is that simple? No, obviously not. Demons manipulated this lion. ❖ (1 Kings 13:26-32, NIV) : " 26 When the prophet who had turned back the man of GOD heard about it, he said to himself, " This is the man of GOD who has rebelled against the commandment of the LORD! The LORD has given him over to the lion, which has torn him to pieces and killed him, just as the LORD had spoken to him ." 27 Then he said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." So they did, 28 and he left. He found the body lying on the road, and the donkey and the lion beside it. The lion had not devoured the body or torn the donkey to pieces . 29 The old prophet lifted the body of the man of GOD, placed it on his donkey, and brought it back. He returned to his city to mourn and bury him. 30 He laid his body in his own tomb, and people mourned over him, saying, “Woe to me, my brother!” 31 After he had buried him, the old prophet said to his sons, “When I die, you will bury me in the tomb where the man of GOD is buried; you will place my bones beside his bones. 32 For the word that he cried out against the altar in Bethel and against all the high places in the cities of Samaria will be fulfilled, according to the commandment of the LORD . What a deplorable end! The one who led the young prophet to sin is the one who takes advantage of his death to make himself known. Not only does this old prophet not repent, he adds a lie to the story and calls the servant of GOD his brother. It is clearly written in verses 24 and 28 that the lion neither devoured the servant of GOD, nor devoured the donkey. But the old prophet tells people that the lion tore the young prophet to pieces. Some people have the very bad habit of taking advantage of the misfortune of others to gain publicity. ❖ (1 Kings 13:33-34, Segond 21) : " 33 Even after this, Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way. He continued to appoint priests of the high places from among the people. Whoever desired to be appointed priest of the high places, he appointed them. 34 This was a cause of sin for the family of Jeroboam, and for this reason they were exterminated and destroyed from the face of the earth ." What a deplorable end! Unsurprisingly, Jeroboam did not turn from his evil ways. His family was exterminated. God's servant was killed by a lion. He was buried far from his family. The old prophet continued to lie. I'm sure some people from the Northern Kingdom stayed and returned to the LORD. Regardless, this story is told in the Bible so we can learn from it. Que a sua atitude seja a mesma de CRISTO (Filipenses 2:5). Nem sempre será fácil, mas sempre será possível. " Porque ninguém pode colocar outro alicerce além do que já está posto, que é JESUS CRISTO " (1 Coríntios 3:11). Sobre você e a sua casa, declaramos que destruímos argumentos e toda altivez que se levanta contra o conhecimento da verdade  (2 Coríntios 10:5). Amém! Algumas palavras: aniversário, comemoração, festa, alegrar-se, celebrar. DEUS quer a nossa santificação: nosso compromisso de andar em Amor, Verdade e Santidade. O aniversário na cultura judaica. As verdadeiras perguntas são: O quê? Por quê? Como? Você pode escolher outro dia (caso esse coincida com um acontecimento infeliz ou se preferir outra data).  Respostas para os que dizem que cristãos não devem celebrar aniversários:  Aos que dizem: porque é uma tradição de origem pagã.  Aos que dizem: porque eventos infelizes aconteceram em comemorações de aniversário mencionadas na Bíblia.  Aos que dizem: porque os judeus não celebravam os aniversários dos patriarcas (Abraão, Isaque, Moisés), dos Juízes (ex.: Moisés, Samuel), dos profetas (ex.: Isaías e Elias), dos reis (ex.: Davi).  Aos que dizem: porque JESUS não celebrou o próprio aniversário.  Aos que dizem: porque a Igreja primitiva não celebrava aniversários.  Aos que dizem: porque a Igreja primitiva não celebrava o aniversário de JESUS. " Um homem considera um dia superior ao outro; e outro, considera todos os dias iguais .  Seja cada homem completamente convicto em sua própria mente . Aquele que considera o dia, considere para o SENHOR; e aquele que não considera o dia, para o SENHOR não considera ; e quem come, para o SENHOR, come porque dá graças a DEUS ; e o que não come, para o SENHOR não come, e  dá graças ao SENHOR. " (Romanos 14:5-6, BKJ) Mas, como é santo aquele que vos chamou,  sede vós também santos em toda a vossa maneira de viver.  Porquanto está escrito: Sede santos, porque eu sou santo ." (1 Pedro 1:15-16, BKJ) (Salmos 98:3-6, BKJ) : 3  Ele lembrou Sua misericórdia e Sua fidelidade à casa de Israel; todos os confins da terra viram a salvação do nosso DEUS . 4   Fazei um barulho alegre ao SENHOR, toda a terra; fazei um barulho alto, regozijai-vos e cantai louvores. 5   Cantai  ao SENHOR com a harpa; com a harpa, e a voz de um salmo. 6  Com trombetas e som de cornetas fazei um barulho alegre  diante do SENHOR, o Rei. Todas as coisas me são lícitas, mas nem todas as coisas convêm; todas as coisas me são lícitas, mas nem todas as coisas edificam . (1 Coríntios 10:23, BKJ) E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo: "Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: ' As festas do SENHOR, que vocês proclamarão como santas convocações [miqra, Strong 4744, hebraico], são as minhas festas [mowed, Strong 4150, hebraico]. Levítico 23:1-2, NKJV 1. Algumas palavras: aniversário, comemoração, festa, alegrar-se, celebrar. O aniversário  é o dia correspondente à data em que um evento ocorreu um ou mais anos antes. Um aniversário  é a comemoração de um evento na data em que ele aconteceu originalmente. Uma comemoração  é uma cerimônia para lembrar uma pessoa ou um acontecimento. Uma festa  é um momento de alegria coletiva organizado para celebrar uma pessoa ou um evento. Uma festa de aniversário  é uma celebração organizada para um aniversário, com o propósito de comemorar a vida de uma pessoa ou um acontecimento ocorrido um ou mais anos antes. Uma festa de aniversário pode acontecer na data exata ou em outro dia . É preciso no mínimo duas pessoas para se considerar uma festa. Alegrar-se  é experimentar alegria, prazer ou grande satisfação. Para muitos, celebrar  significa fazer um banquete, organizar uma festa ou um jantar festivo com comida, bebida e música. Mas essa é apenas uma das definições da palavra. Celebrar também significa louvar, reconhecer uma conquista ou honrar alguém ou algo . Podemos nos alegrar com um acontecimento sem necessariamente querer organizar uma festa ou participar de uma . A palavra francesa tradition  vem do latim « traditio, tradere », derivada de trans  « através » e dare  « dar », « passar adiante, entregar ». Segundo sua etimologia, podemos dizer que tradição expressa « o ato de dar, entregar, de passar algo adiante (através do tempo ou das gerações) ». Nos dicionários, tradição se refere a um conjunto de conhecimentos, interpretações e práticas transmitidas de uma geração para outra. As tradições são passadas oralmente, pela preservação ou imitação de costumes e comportamentos. Um costume é um hábito estabelecido por uma pessoa, família, povo ou grupo social. Costumes são hábitos. Tradições são comportamentos, ações e formas de fazer algo que são transmitidos entre gerações. Um costume pode se tornar uma tradição. Um costume pode ser individual, mas uma tradição é transgeracional. Costumes e tradições são nutridos por crenças, conhecimento, ignorância, interpretações, experiências, repetições e preferências. Para nós, cristãos, a autoridade suprema é DEUS, e o modelo perfeito é JESUS CRISTO (Hebreus 1:1-3). Portanto: Nossa identidade está em CRISTO, e não em costumes, tradições ou preferências. Devemos escolher aquilo que O honra, celebra e revela em Verdade, Santidade e Amor. Podemos substituir um costume por outro e torná-lo uma tradição. Podemos rejeitar qualquer tradição que seja contrária aos mandamentos de DEUS. Podemos rejeitar qualquer tradição contrária aos valores do Reino. Podemos rejeitar qualquer tradição contrária às convicções pessoais aprovadas pelo SENHOR ou às orientações pessoais recebidas do SENHOR. Podemos adotar e transmitir qualquer tradição que esteja em conformidade com os mandamentos de DEUS, com os valores do Reino, com as convicções pessoais aprovadas pelo SENHOR e com as orientações pessoais recebidas do SENHOR. 2. DEUS quer a nossa santificação: nosso compromisso de andar em Amor, Verdade e Santidade. DEUS não proíbe todas as festas. Ele proíbe festas dedicadas a demônios (os deuses dos pagãos), festas nas quais as pessoas se entregam a práticas contrárias às Suas recomendações, e festas nas quais a glória que pertence a DEUS é dada à criação. Além das festas pagãs, Ele é contra a idolatria, o sincretismo, a libertinagem e as obras da carne. Ele é contra tudo o que é contrário à santidade, à verdade e ao amor . DEUS deseja a nossa santificação. Ele quer nosso compromisso voluntário de fugir do pecado e nos apegar ao que é santo conforme a Sua Palavra. Nosso compromisso voluntário de andar em amor, verdade e santidade. Isso envolve confiar na obra da cruz, receber o ministério do ESPÍRITO SANTO, rejeitar o pecado, resistir ao diabo e buscar tudo o que contribui para a paz e para a edificação. (1 Pedro 1:15-16, BKJ) – " Mas, como é santo aquele que vos chamou,  sede vós também santos em toda a vossa maneira de viver.   Porquanto está escrito: Sede santos, porque eu sou santo. " (2 Coríntios 7:1, NAA) – "  Portanto, meus amados, tendo essas promessas, purifiquemo-nos de toda impureza tanto da carne como do espírito, aperfeiçoando a nossa santidade no temor de DEUS ." (Filipenses 2:5, NAA) – " Tenham entre vocês o mesmo modo de pensar de CRISTO JESUS. " (Romanos 6:22-23, NAA) –  " Mas agora, libertados do pecado, transformados em servos de DEUS, vocês têm o seu fruto para a santificação e, por fim, a vida eterna . Porque o salário do pecado é a morte, mas o dom gratuito de DEUS é a vida eterna em CRISTO JESUS, nosso SENHOR . " (Levítico 20:26 (NVI) – " Vocês serão santos para mim, porque eu, o SENHOR, sou santo,  e os separei dentre os povos para serem meus. " (Levítico 20:7, NVI) – " Consagrem-se e sejam santos,  porque eu sou o SENHOR, o DEUS de vocês. " (Levítico 19:1-2, BKJ) –  " E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo: Fala a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Sereis santos; porque eu o SENHOR vosso DEUS sou santo ." (Salmos 119:9, BKJ) – " Com que meios purificará um jovem o seu caminho? Prestando atenção nisso, segundo a Tua palavra . " (1 Tessalonicenses 4:1-8, BKJ) - " 1  Além disso, vos rogamos irmãos, e vos exortamos no SENHOR JESUS que , assim como recebestes de nós, de que maneira convém andar e agradar a DEUS, assim andai, para que continueis a progredir mais e mais; 2  porque vós sabeis que mandamentos vos temos dado pelo SENHOR JESUS . 3   Porque esta é a vontade de DEUS, a vossa santificação : Que vos abstenhais da fornicação , 4  que cada um de vós saiba possuir o seu vaso em santificação e honra, 5  não na paixão de concupiscência, como os gentios, que não conhecem a DEUS. 6  Que nenhum homem oprima ou engane a seu irmão em qualquer assunto, porque o SENHOR é vingador de todas estas coisas, como também, antes, vo-lo dissemos e testificamos. 7   Porque DEUS não nos chamou para a imundícia, mas para a santificação . 8   Portanto, quem despreza isto não despreza ao homem, mas sim a DEUS , que nos deu também o seu ESPÍRITO SANTO . " (1 Pedro 2:9, BKJ) –  " Mas  vós sois uma geração escolhida, um sacerdócio real, uma nação santa, um povo peculiar, para que anuncieis os louvores Daquele que vos chamou das trevas para a Sua maravilhosa luz. " (Hebreus 12:14, BKJ) – " Segui a paz com todos os homens, e a santidade, sem a qual nenhum homem verá o SENHOR . " Hebreus 12:14 (NAA) –  " Procurem viver em paz com todos e busquem a santificação , sem a qual ninguém verá o SENHOR. " João 17:15-17 (BKJ)  – " Eu não oro para que Tu os tires do mundo, mas que Tu os guardes do mal. Eles não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo. Santifica-os pela Tua verdade; Tua palavra é a verdade. " 3. O aniversário na cultura judaica. Na época de JESUS, os judeus não costumavam celebrar aniversários. Fazer festa de aniversário não é um costume tradicional judaico. É comum ouvir rabinos dizerem que não celebram seus aniversários. Porém, nunca afirmam que isso seja proibido. Eles reconhecem que festas de aniversário têm origem em tradições pagãs. Mas esse não é o motivo pelo qual optam por não celebrar. Simplesmente não sentem o desejo ou a convicção de fazê-lo. 🙂 Isso é fácil de verificar: basta procurar em sites judaicos confiáveis ou enviar um e-mail com essa pergunta. Para alguns judeus, não faz sentido comemorar um aniversário sem antes refletir se estão cumprindo sua missão na terra e que tipo de exemplo estão deixando para seus descendentes ou para a comunidade. Para outros, o aniversário é um dia especial, no qual a pessoa é duplamente favorecida. Um dia ideal para receber palavras de bênção, ler a Torá, orar por sua família, seu próximo e sua cidade. Em muitas escolas, os aniversários acontecem em sala de aula, e as crianças são incentivadas a orar umas pelas outras em seus aniversários . Hoje em dia, algumas famílias judias celebram os aniversários das crianças, mas a maioria dos adultos não celebra o próprio aniversário. Quando o fazem, geralmente é para marcar um ano simbólico ou agradecer a DEUS por uma graça especial. Para judeus, e para muitos cristãos, o aniversário é um dia de gratidão e introspecção. Um dia para agradecer a DEUS, meditar em sua Palavra, orar etc. De certo modo, quem agradece está celebrando a DEUS, pois reconhece o que ele fez e lhe dá glória. Algumas pessoas fazem doações a instituições, visitam orfanatos etc. Conheço um casal que jejua e ora nos aniversários dos filhos. Hoje em dia, cada vez mais pessoas (crentes ou não) aproveitam a data para arrecadar fundos para ONGs ou associações por meio das redes sociais. 4. As verdadeiras perguntas são: O quê? Por quê? Como? DEUS não proíbe festas de aniversário . Ele proíbe o que é contrário à santificação. Não há nenhum versículo na Bíblia que proíba festas de aniversário. Temos o direito de comemorar. Também temos o direito de não comemorar. Seja o que for que fizermos, certifiquemo-nos de que o fazemos pelas razões certas e da maneira certa 🙂  Você não precisa dar uma festa para tornar o dia do seu aniversário especial.  Expresse sua gratidão de acordo com a plena convicção que você tem. Seja o que for que você faça, contanto que o faça pelas razões certas e da maneira certa, não há nada de errado nisso. As perguntas são: O que comemorar seu aniversário significa para você?  Pelo que você gostaria de agradecer a DEUS em especial neste dia? O que você quer fazer no seu aniversário? Compartilhar sua alegria com os outros? Convidar outras pessoas para se alegrarem com você? Descansar e dormir? Ter um tempo pessoal com DEUS ou com seus entes queridos? DEUS te deu uma recomendação específica para este dia? Por que você quer ou não quer fazer uma festa de aniversário? A razão é boa ou ruim? Você já conversou com DEUS sobre isso? Se você organizar uma festa, considerando o local, a data, o tipo de bebida, o estilo da música e a maneira como você se veste, você tem paz interior de que isso não será ocasião de queda para alguém próximo a você, sob sua responsabilidade ou sua influência? Fazer festa para impressionar os outros não é uma boa razão. Fazer festa porque os outros estão fazendo também não é uma boa razão. Fazer festa porque você quer ganhar presentes, ou mais precisamente porque quer que as pessoas se sintam obrigadas a lhe dar um presente, não é uma boa razão. Fazer festa porque você quer chamar a atenção de um irmão ou irmã não é uma boa razão. Não é errado fazer festa, ir viajar, comprar joias ou um carro. Mas se endividar para realizar essas coisas, é. Se você vai fazer festa, faça com o que você tem. Não entre em dívida.  Não é uma boa razão deixar de fazer festa por pensar que não é permitido. Fingir que está em retiro no seu aniversário só para parecer espiritual também não é uma boa razão. Pedir aos seus entes queridos (os introvertidos) ou ao mundo inteiro (os extrovertidos) para orar por você ou declarar palavras de bênção sobre você no seu aniversário é bom, mas não é necessário. Você não precisa fazer o que todo mundo faz. Você não precisa adotar as tradições dos outros. Você não precisa colocar velas no seu bolo de aniversário.   Você nem precisa de um bolo de aniversário!   🙂 Confesso que sou contra velas em bolos. Adoro bolo e faço com frequência. Mas não preciso de bolo de aniversário. Quase nunca faço festa de aniversário. Ainda que eu faça tem bolo, mas não de aniversário. Só para constar, na África e na Ásia, festas de aniversário sem bolo de aniversário não são incomuns. O que é uma refeição festiva para uns, não é necessariamente para outros. Que tipo de música você permitirá que o DJ toque? Estilo de roupa é uma forma de expressão.  O que a sua roupa dirá? Você é livre para comer carne de porco, mas pode oferecer uma alternativa para quem não come? Não é ruim beber champanhe com álcool de vez em quando, mas é adequado fazer isso na presença de um alcoólatra? É recomendável ficar bêbado ou é sensato distribuir álcool na frente das crianças? Você pode escolher outro dia (se este dia coincidir com um acontecimento infeliz ou se você preferir outro dia)  Você pode comemorar seu aniversário em um dia diferente da data do seu nascimento. Se o dia do seu nascimento coincidir com um evento triste ou traumático para você, pode escolher comemorar seu aniversário em outra data. Por exemplo, o aniversário do seu encontro com JESUS, do seu batismo por imersão, da manifestação do seu batismo, do ESPÍRITO SANTO etc.  6. Respostas para quem diz que os cristãos não devem comemorar aniversários 🙂 Quando alguém diz que cristãos não devem comemorar ou fazer festas de aniversário, eu pergunto em quais versículos eles se baseiam para afirmar isso. Não há versículo na Bíblia que proíba a comemoração de aniversários .  Comemorar ou não comemorar um aniversário é uma escolha pessoal. Que cada um expresse sua gratidão conforme a plena convicção que tem em sua mente. Vamos ler a Bíblia (Romanos 14:5-6, BKJ): “Um homem considera um  dia superior ao outro; e outro, considera todos os dias iguais .   Seja cada homem completamente convicto em sua própria mente . Aquele que considera o dia, considere para o SENHOR; e aquele que não considera o dia, para o SENHOR não considera ;  e quem come, para o SENHOR come porque dá graças a DEUS ; e o que não come, para o SENHOR não come, e dá graças a DEUS .” a. Aos que dizem: porque é uma tradição de origem pagã. DEUS não é contra celebrações. Ele é contra idolatria, sincretismo, devassidão e obras da carne. Ele é contra tudo o que é contrário à santidade, à verdade e ao amor. Só porque alguém usa uma faca para matar não significa que eu não posso usá-la para cozinhar. A menos que DEUS me proíba de ter uma faca, se eu não souber usá-la ou se usá-la agora colocaria a mim ou a um ente querido em perigo (exemplos: mãos trêmulas ou um bebê no colo). Comemorar o aniversário não é glorificar o diabo. São nossas atitudes, palavras e ações durante as comemorações que revelam CRISTO ou glorificam o diabo. b. Aos que dizem: porque eventos infelizes aconteceram em comemorações de aniversário mencionadas na Bíblia. Especificamente, o enforcamento do chefe dos padeiros durante a comemoração do aniversário do Faraó no tempo de José (Gênesis 40:20-22) e a decapitação de João Batista durante a festa de aniversário do rei Herodes (Mateus 14:3-12, Marcos 6:21-29).  A fé é baseada em DEUS. Superstições são baseadas em medos infundados sobre um evento.  Não comemorar seu aniversário por medo de que algo ruim aconteça nesse dia é superstição. Todos os dias, pessoas nascem e morrem. Todos os dias milhares de pessoas no mundo fazem aniversário. Todos os dias, milhares comemoram seus aniversários. Os pagãos comemoraram seus aniversários no dia da ressurreição de JESUS, mas isso não o impediu de ressuscitar. Eles foram mortos por causa de homens, não por festas de aniversário.  Foram mortos durante festas de aniversário, mas não era o aniversário nem de um nem de outro.  Meus dias estão nas mãos do SENHOR. Se eu viver muito ou pouco, se minha morte for súbita ou não, se minha morte for violenta ou não, tenho a firme certeza e convicção de que minha vida está nas mãos dele. c. Aos que dizem: porque os judeus não celebravam os aniversários dos patriarcas (Abraão, Isaque, Moisés), dos Juízes (ex.: Moisés, Samuel), dos profetas (ex.: Isaías e Elias), dos reis (ex.: Davi). Não há razão bíblica para comemorar o aniversário de uma pessoa falecida . Além disso, como o fato de não comemorar o aniversário de Abraão pode ser uma razão para não comemorar o seu ou o de um ente querido?  DEUS nos pede para honrar os vivos (Filipenses 2:29) e imitar aqueles que, pela fé e paciência, herdaram e tem herdado suas promessas (Hebreus 6:12, Hebreus 11:1-40). Ele também nos pede para aprender com o passado e não repetir os erros dos que vieram antes de nós (1 Coríntios 10:6). Celebramos a DEUS pelo testemunho deles e pelo que Ele fez por meio deles. Mas mesmo que escolhêssemos o aniversário do nascimento deles para agradecer a DEUS, a comemoração seria para DEUS e não para os mortos. d. Aos que dizem: porque JESUS não celebrou o próprio aniversário. JESUS é eterno, Ele é DEUS ( leia este artigo ). DEUS não tem começo nem fim.  DEUS existe fora do tempo. DEUS é eterno. DEUS não tem data de aniversário. Cada crente é livre para demonstrar seu carinho e gratidão em um dia específico. Como escrevi na primeira parte, DEUS não proíbe festas. Mas proíbe a participação em festas pagãs: festas dedicadas a demônios (os deuses dos pagãos), festas nas quais as pessoas se envolvem em práticas contrárias às suas recomendações, festas nas quais a glória que é devida a DEUS é dada à criação (homens, animais, objetos, acaso, etc.).  e. Aos que dizem: porque a Igreja primitiva não celebrava aniversários. Todos nós concordamos que a Bíblia é a Palavra de DEUS, inspirada por DEUS e escrita por homens. A autoridade é a Palavra, e não a cultura de um povo . f. Aos que dizem: porque a Igreja primitiva não celebrava o aniversário de JESUS. A igreja primitiva sabia que JESUS não é apenas um homem, Ele é DEUS. A igreja primitiva o celebrava todos os dias. Todos os dias foram criados por DEUS (Salmos 118:24) e podemos celebrá-lo a qualquer momento (Salmos 34:2). JESUS não comemorava seu próprio aniversário. Ele é DEUS, e não está preso ao tempo . Ele é Onisciente, Onipresente, Onipotente, Transcendente e Imutável. Ele é o Senhor do tempo e das circunstâncias. Por que Ele desejaria comemorar o dia do seu nascimento na Terra? O nascimento do Messias não é uma das festas solenes do SENHOR  (Levítico 23:1-44). As festas solenes do SENHOR são celebrações estabelecidas por DEUS para o povo judeu na Antiga Aliança. Sobre essas festas, Ele mesmo diz que são santas convocações  ou reuniões sagradas , dependendo da tradução (Levítico 23:1-2). A igreja primitiva, portanto, não tinha obrigação de celebrar no sentido de realizar uma festa em comemoração ao nascimento de JESUS. Além disso, lembremo-nos de que a Igreja foi perseguida logo após a partida de JESUS. Celebrar sua ressurreição é muito mais importante do que celebrar seu nascimento. Uma vida que celebra a DEUS é mais importante do que um dia.  Ser cristão não é aderir à cultura judaica, é escolher JESUS. Não falarei sobre o Natal neste artigo, mas já posso afirmar: JESUS não nasceu em 25 de dezembro. Esse dia nada mais é do que uma data escolhida por homens. DEUS é DEUS todos os dias. Posso celebrá-lo todos os dias. Celebrá-lo todos os dias não me impede de ser particularmente grata em determinados dias. Todo dia é um bom dia para louvar, agradecer, evangelizar, salvar, ensinar, edificar, encorajar, curar e libertar. DEUS odeia a idolatria e JESUS não precisa de sincretismo para salvar vidas. Minha convicção pessoal não é um mandamento para o meu próximo. E a convicção pessoal dele não pode ser mandamento para mim. “ Tudo é permitido, mas nem tudo convém. Tudo é permitido, mas nem tudo edifica ." (1 Coríntios 10:23) => “ Um bom nome é melhor do que unguento precioso, e o dia da morte do que o dia do nascimento de alguém .” (Eclesiastes 7:1, BKJ). JESUS recebeu o nome que está acima de todo nome porque dedicou sua vida à vontade do PAI (João 5:30, João 6:38, Filipenses 2:8-9; Hebreus 1:3-4, Lucas 22:42). Ele não deu apenas um dia, Ele deu sua vida.  Tudo o que você fizer, faça com sabedoria, pelas razões certas, em reconhecimento ao que Ele fez, e conforme a plena convicção que você tem. **   Moudje hain  = Bom dia em wobé (Costa do Marfim) **   Buongiorno  = Bom dia em italiano (literalmente bom dia)

"So then, whoever thinks he stands, let him take care that he does not fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man. GOD is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will also make a way of escape with the temptation, so that you will be able to endure it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry . I speak to you as to intelligent people; judge for yourselves what I say." (1 Corinthians 10:12-15, NIV) As I wrote in previous articles , the one who is called " a man of GOD " is called "a young prophet" in several translations of the Bible . In the original Hebrew texts and in the French Jewish Bible it is written " a man of GOD " and "not a young prophet". 3. Lies and Traps ( 1 Kings 13:11-20) ❖ (1 Kings 13:11-13, NIV) : 11 Now there was a certain old prophet living in Bethel, whose sons came and told him all that the man of GOD had done there that day. They also told their father what he had said to the king. 12 Their father asked them, “Which way did he go?” And his sons showed him which road the man of GOD from Judah had taken. 13 So he said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me.” And when they had saddled the donkey for him, he mounted it. 🙂 The Bible does not specify who the old prophet was. We do not know his name or his tribe. There are two theories about this man. The first, which I find more likely, is that he was someone to whom GOD once spoke (in his youth), but to whom GOD no longer spoke . Probably because he became complicit in the sins of many, or he did things that GOD condemned, or spoke words that GOD had not spoken to him. A bit like Judge Eli who became an accomplice in the sins of his sons and was rejected by GOD (1 Samuel 2:29-36). Or like some prophets to whom GOD no longer speaks today. They said anything in return for an offering. Some collaborate with demonic spirits and fallen angels. They speak by divination and not by revelation. If this old prophet was a false prophet from his youth, the Bible would have presented him as a false prophet or a prophet of a deity . We can say that at one time, he spoke inspired by GOD. But as he grew older, he spoke sometimes inspired by himself (lies) and sometimes inspired by demons. 🙂 The second hypothesis is that this man was not a prophet of GOD . He was a person to whom Jeroboam had given the title of prophet. I prefer the first hypothesis but, I recognize that the second must be considered. Not all those who have a title of prophet are prophets of God. It is explicitly said of the first prophet that he was a man of GOD sent by GOD. On the other hand, regarding the second prophet, it is just written that he was an old prophet. Reminder After King Solomon's death, the kingdom split in two. In the south, two tribes (Judah and Benjamin) formed the Kingdom of Judah, with Jerusalem as its capital. In the north, ten tribes formed the Kingdom of Israel, also known as the Kingdom of Samaria or the Northern Kingdom. The tribe of Levi had a special status. Unlike the other tribes, it did not have a dedicated region, but towns scattered throughout the regions of the other tribes. This tribe was dedicated to the LORD and to the service of the temple. It is therefore very likely that many of them, if not all, continued to live in Jerusalem. Shechem, also spelled Shechem (near the city of Samaria), was the capital of Israel, the Northern Kingdom. The Northern Kingdom had several capitals: Shechem, Penuel, and Samaria. Shechem was the first capital. During his reign, Jeroboam moved the capital to Penuel. Samaria became the capital long after Jeroboam's reign. In Jeroboam's time, Samaria was not yet a city, and the Northern Kingdom was not yet called the Kingdom of Samaria. ❖ (1 Kings 13:14, NIV) : He went after the man of GOD and found him sitting under an oak . He said to him, “Are you the man of GOD who came from Judah?” He answered, “I am.” This old prophet was not present when the prophet sent by GOD, called a young prophet by many, warned Jeroboam at Bethel. He was at home and his sons came to tell him what had happened. He went after the young prophet and found him sitting under a terebinth tree. The terebinth tree, or terebinth pistachio, is a common tree in Palestine. It is a robust and majestic tree. It reaches 10 to 15 meters in height and is composed of umbrella-shaped branches. It can live up to 100 years. It produces an edible fruit similar to coffee beans. Like oaks, terebinth groves (hedgerows) sometimes served as places of pagan worship (Genesis 35:2-7, Hosea 4:13, Isaiah 57:5). I do not know if the terebinth under which the servant of GOD sat was used for pagan worship. It is a possibility. The young prophet leaves Bethel for Jerusalem. On the way, he sits near Shechem, the capital of the Northern Kingdom. Bethel (which means house of GOD in Hebrew) , is said to be located 10 km north of Jerusalem. It was in this city that Abraham and Jacob had built altars to GOD (Genesis 12:8, Genesis 28:12-18). It was in this city that GOD spoke to Jacob in a dream. Bethel was often in competition with Jerusalem. The Samaritans worshipped GOD in Bethel and the Judeans in Jerusalem. Bethel was a city of the tribe of Ephraim (son of Joseph), also called the half-tribe of Ephraim. Ephraim and Manasseh form the tribe of Joseph (eleventh son of Jacob). Shechem or Shechem ( meaning shoulder in Hebrew ) , is located 50 km north of Jerusalem. Its position is indicated in the Bible (Judges 21:19, Judges 9:6-7, Joshua 20:7). It is the city where GOD appeared to Abraham (Genesis 12:6-9). He built an altar to GOD there (Genesis 12:7). Shechem was a city of the tribe of Manasseh (son of Joseph) also called half-tribe of Manasseh. Shechem was a trading city. It was a wealthy city. Bethel was a city of retreat. People went to Bethel to pray. Jerusalem (meaning foundation of peace in Hebrew ), was the city where the Word was taught. People went to Jerusalem to worship God, pray, make offerings, study the Word, present their children to the Lord, celebrate Passover and other festivals. 🙂 Let's stop for a moment and look at the pictures of the cards. Remember that the young prophet came from Judah and that GOD had told him to return to Judah by a different route than the one he had taken to come to Bethel. We do not know exactly from which city in Judah the young prophet came. But, let us assume that he came from Jerusalem . Where is Judah? Where is Jerusalem? Where is Shechem? I wonder why this servant of GOD went all the way to Shechem. From Shilloh, he could have gone to Aphek. Didn't he know that way? I think he did. Had God told him to go in the direction of Shechem? Did he want to visit the city of Shechem? Did he intend to go to Succot and then pass through Medeba? No, I don't think so. Did he have a donkey or was he walking? I think if he had a donkey, it would be written in the Bible. If not, how did the old prophet find it so quickly? What do you think? ❖ (1 Kings 13:15-19, Segond 21) : 15 So the prophet said to him, “Come home with me and eat .” 16 The man of GOD said, “I cannot turn back and go with you, nor can I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. 17 I have been told by the word of the Lord: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water there or return by the way you came.’ ” 18 The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’ ” (But he was lying to him.) 19 So the man of GOD returned with him and ate and drank in his house. 🙂 The old prophet asks GOD's servant to come to his house for dinner. However, his sons told him that this servant of GOD had refused Jeroboam's proposal. Either he wanted to test the young prophet, or like Jeroboam, he wanted to take advantage of the young prophet's newfound fame . Smartphones did not exist at that time. There was no way to take pictures. The servant of GOD responds to the old prophet by telling him the recommendation GOD gave him: Eat nothing, drink nothing, take nothing and do not return by the same way. This time he says " it was told me by a word of the LORD " and not "The LORD told me". The old prophet replied that he too was a prophet. A way of telling the servant of GOD that it is not only to him that GOD speaks. 🙂 This attitude resembles the spirit of competition. He then lied that an angel had spoken to him from the LORD. 🙂 This scene reminds me of the discussion Eve had with the serpent in the Garden of Eden . We know that through the serpent, it was the devil who was speaking. The devil who is himself a fallen angel. Frankly, the young prophet had no obligation to tell the old prophet the recommendation that GOD had given him . Perhaps he did so because at one time the old prophet was someone important. Perhaps the servant of GOD began to doubt, to wonder if he had indeed heard GOD through his Word. Unfortunately, the young prophet returned, ate and drank in the old prophet's house. Why did he believe the old prophet? Why didn't he question GOD himself? Why didn't he ask why GOD had given a recommendation contrary to the first? If he was hungry, couldn't he ask GOD to strengthen him and direct his steps? Did he regret refusing Jeroboam's proposal? He made mistakes that we must avoid. We must ask GOD for the grace to be vigilant when we are tired, especially after great exploits. Only GOD has the authority to change his words. He will not send an angel or a man to tell you the opposite of what he himself previously told you. Only he can go back on his words. When he does, he says why. As long as GOD himself does not change a recommendation that he himself told you, continue . If you have doubts, pray. Ask GOD, he will answer you . Don't let anyone make you believe that GOD cannot speak to you. A word from GOD is more precious than a title . Just because a person has a title of prophet does not mean they always speak the truth, or are inspired by GOD. Just because someone led you to JESUS does not give them the right to lead you to Satan. Don't let anyone turn you away from GOD. Don't let anyone turn you away from the truth under the pretext of supernatural experiences. No one is infallible. Even well-intentioned people can make mistakes . A person can speak on behalf of GOD today and be wrong tomorrow. The Apostle Peter said to JESUS " You are the CHRIST, the Son of the living GOD. " (Matthew 16:16). Jesus answered, " Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. " (Matthew 16:17). Later in the same chapter: " From that time JESUS began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed and rise again the third day. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “GOD forbid, LORD! This shall not be for you.” But JESUS turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a scandal to me, for you are not thinking the thoughts of GOD, but the thoughts of men. ” (Matthew 16:21-23, NKJV) Again, even well-intentioned people can make mistakes . Always ask GOD to guide your steps and confirm what others say. Only God is God. 🙂 Sometimes what GOD does through you exposes or will expose : What the devil has done and is doing through one or more people . What one or more have refused to do with or for GOD. Amen ! » Initialement, l'autisme était défini comme étant une maladie par les médecins et scientifiques. La première forme d'autisme a été découverte en1943. Aujourd'hui, l’autisme est défini comme une variation du développement neural (système nerveux), un handicap dont les manifestations sont regroupées sous l'expression de Troubles du Spectre de l’Autisme (TSA). Les sympômes sont multiples et leur intensité diffère d'une personne à une autre. Il n'y a donc pas une forme d'autisme mais, des formes d'autisme. Les premiers signes apparaissent à l'âge de deux ou trois ans.  Les plus récurrents sont : des altérations des interactions sociales (perception, compréhension et expression des émotions) 25% à 50% des personnes autistes ne communiquent pas verbalement. des problèmes de communication  (langage, contact visuel et communication non verbale) des  troubles du comportement (répertoire d’intérêts et d’activités restreint, stéréotypé et répétitif) Exemples : balancements du corps, battements des mains, tournoiements, se mordre les mains, se cogner la tête, manipulation constante et san raison d'objets, etc. En général, elles tolèrent mal le changement (de lieux, d’emplois du temps, de vêtements, d’alimentation…). Face à une situation imprévisible, elles paniquent, se mettent en colère ou deviennent agressive. des  réactions sensorielles inhabituelles (hypersensibilité au toucher, à certaines matières, textures, odeurs, bruits, etc.) S'ajoutent très souvent des troubles du sommeil , des troubles alimentaires (rejet d'une alimentation variée), de problèmes psychiatriques (dépression, anxiété), de difficultés d’apprentissage ( déficit de l'attention avec ou sans hyperactivité).   Près d'un autiste  sur cinq souffre d'épilepsie . Un tiers des autismes souffrent de retard intellectuel très grave. Certains autistes n'ont aucun retard intellectuel (Par exemple ceux qui souffrent du syndrome d'Asperger). Il y en a qui sont intellectuelleme surdoués. Les autistes à haut QI (Quotient Intellectuel) connaissent la même hypersensibilité perceptuelle et émotionnelle que les personnes HPI (Haut Potentiel intellectuel) . Du point de vu scientifique, la cause de l'autisme est inconnue. Toutefois, il est reconnu que l'autisme est favorisé par de nombreux facteurs. Les premiers étant la génétique et les facteurs environnementaux. Les personnes autistes seraient des personnes génétiquement prédisposées après exposition à un ou plusieurs facteurs environnementaux ( prise de certains médicaments pendant la grossesse, exposition à certains produits ou composants chimiques pendant la grossesse, prématurité , manque d’oxygène à la naissance, etc. ) À ce jour, il n'existe aucun médicament pour l'autisme. Des médicaments peuvent êtres prescrits pour soigner ou réguler certains symptômes ou troubles spécifiques. Un bon environnement et un bon accompagnement (personnalisé), améliorent significativement l'état de la personne et ses relations . L'accompagnement et les soins sont définis selon l'âge, l'environnement, les besoins, la santé et le dégré d'autonomie des personnes. Nous savons que les démons peuvent causer et aggraver des maladies et des handicaps . Ils peuvent retarder et empêcher la guérison . Ça ne signifie pas que toute maladie est causée par un démon ou qu'un démon est systématiquement présent dans le corps de toute personne malade. Nous savons également que, quelle que soit la cause, DIEU peut délivrer, guérir et restaurer de différentes manières . C'est pourquoi, quelles que soient les circonstances, il faut prier et demander l'assistance du SAINT-ESPRIT. 🙂 Parfois, la partie la plus importante d'un témoignage n'est pas le miracle ou la guérison physique, mais la parole rhema , la disposition de coeur (le type de foi), l'attitude, la persévérance, la détermination à conserver la paix intérieure et à accomplir sa destinée de celui qui témoigne. Prions pour l'émergence (ou la multiplication dépendamment du pays) d'établissements adaptés à les accueillir. Prions pour des accompagnements appropriés. Ordonnons l'exposition, la dénonciation et la cessation des cas de maltraitance, violence et abus, quelles que soient leurs formes. Prions pour l'assainissement des environnements (sprirituels, familiaux, sonores, culturels, sanitaires, scolaires, etc.) Les adultes : Prions la révélation de l'identité en CHRIST et de leur destinée. Demandons pour eux des paroles rhema . Ordonnons la destruction des forteresses, des faux raisonnements et des pensées limitantes (2 Corinthiens 10:5). Prions pour qu'ils aient une bonne l'estime de soi et la guérison des blessures de l'âme . Prions pour des guérisons et des délivrances. Prions pour une sensibilité équilibrée. Prions pour des bonnes compagnies et des relations saines. Ordonnons l'exposition, la dénonciation et la cessation des cas de maltraitance, violence et abus, quelles que soient leurs formes. Les familles de personnes autistes : Prions contre la culpabilité , l'épuissement, le découragement, la dépression et les pensées suicidaires . Prions pour qu'ils soient en paix avec DIEU . Prions pour la communion avec le SAINT-ESPRIT et la capacité de prier toutes sortes de prières . Prions pour que leurs parents soient de bons parents, des intercesseurs persévérants et des sentinelles éveillées. Prions pour leurs finances. Appellons des opportunités, des idées, solutions et aides en réponse à leurs besoins. Ordonnons la destruction des forteresses, des faux raisonnements et des pensées limitantes (2 Corinthiens 10:5). Ordonnons les fins d'abus spirituels, manipulations émotionelles, des dérives sectaires et endoctrinements sectaires. Prions pour le courage et la sagesse. Les accompagnateurs d'enfants autistes : Que les grâces leur soient multipliées. Élevons nos voies contre l'épuisement, l'agacement, la colère, le stree et les influences démoniques. Demandons que des anges les assistent. Prions pour la créativité, la sagesse, le discernment et la capacité de transmettre. Prions pour leurs finances et leurs familles. Les ministères et associations chrétiennes dédiés aux personnes autistes : Prions pour leurs fondateurs, dirigeants et leaders. Merhaba, daughter of GOD! GOD redeemed by Grace! May GOD keep you. If you have fallen, may GOD help you get back up. If you are lifted up, may GOD give you discernment. If you are in trial, may GOD be with you. " Surely, if you do good, you will rise again. But if you do evil, sin lies at the door, and its desire is for you, but you shall rule over it . (Genesis 4:7, NIV) As I wrote in the previous article , the one who is called " a man of GOD " is called "a young prophet" in several translations of the Bible . In the original Hebrew texts and in the French Jewish Bible it is written " a man of GOD " and "not a young prophet ". 2. The Warning, the Sign, and False Repentance ( 1 Kings 13:1-5) ❖ (1 Kings 13: 1-2, KJV) : “ 1 And, behold, there came a man of GOD out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel : and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. 2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee." 🙂 GOD sent one of his servants to warn Jeroboam. This prophet declared GOD's judgment against Jeroboam, the idolatrous priests, and their places of worship. He told Jeroboam that from the descendants of David, a son will be born who will be king. His name will be Josiah. He will destroy the satanic altars and the bones of the priests on these altars. This prophecy was fulfilled between 340 and 360 years later. Some historians say 340 years, others say 360 years. In any case, the fulfillment of this prophecy is recounted in the Bible in chapters 22 and 23 of the second book of Kings. The fulfillment is confirmed in verses 2 Kings 23:16-20. Josiah did what the prophet had foretold in both kingdoms: Judah and Samaria . 🙂 I strongly encourage you to read chapters 22 and 23 of the second book of Kings. These chapters clearly show us what we must do with objects of idolatry and pagan worship. => Repent , remove them from our premises and destroy them . Are there objects to destroy in your house ? If so, do it promptly. On behalf of the LORD, I insist. Remove these objects from your home, from your office and destroy them promptly. If there are objects to destroy in your church, question the leaders of your church. Ask for explanations. Do not return to this church until these objects have been removed and the leaders have repented. There is no excuse for idolatry . This means, for example, that it is not justifiable to use demonically inspired images to preach the Gospel, create a poster for a Christian event, a Christian movie, the cover photo of a book, a prayer meeting, or instrumental prayer music. I say a firm and irrevocable NO to the so-called images of angels, Mary, and any other person mentioned in the Bible. Either you read the Bible or you don't. Either you honor GOD or you don't. It's as simple as that. ❖ (1 Kings 13:3-5, KJV) : " 3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. 4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of GOD, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him . 5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of GOD had given by the word of the LORD ." Jeroboam's first reaction should have been to wonder if this prophet was truly speaking on behalf of GOD. His second reaction should have been to repent. There is no doubt that this prophet was speaking on behalf of GOD. Jeroboam knew this. At that time, there were not as many false prophets as there are today. It was through a prophet that GOD announced to Jeroboam that he would be king, and it was through a prophet that he announced to him that he had been judged. Therefore, GOD was also speaking to the people of the Northern Kingdom. Jeroboam was not ignorant. He was so proud that he wanted to tempt GOD . I don't know if he was young, but I think the prophet who warned him was not a famous prophet. He was not necessarily young. He could have been a prophet established above other prophets. Jeroboam surely thought that GOD would not confirm the word of this man. ❖ (1 Kings 13:6-10, New International Version) : " 6 Then the king spoke and said to the man of GOD, " Call upon the LORD your GOD and pray for me, that I may withdraw my hand. " The man of GOD called upon the LORD, and the king was able to withdraw his hand, and it returned to its former state. 7 The king said to the man of GOD, " Come with me into my palace. You will eat, and I will give you a gift ." 8 The man of GOD answered the king, " Even if you were to give me half your palace, I would not go with you. I will neither eat nor drink anything there , 9 for this is what the word of the LORD has commanded me: 'You shall neither eat nor drink anything, nor return by the same way that you came in.' " 10 So he turned back by another way; he did not return by the way that he came to Bethel. GOD confirmed the sign he had given. But Jeroboam had no intention of repenting . He asked the prophet to pray to GOD for him. He said to the prophet, "the LORD your GOD." In case you hadn't noticed, he said "your GOD ." So to speak, GOD is only the GOD of this prophet. Even when GOD exposes and publicly strikes him, he refuses to admit repentance. This scene took place in public. The idolatrous priests were present. They should have understood that GOD was warning them. Like Jeroboam, these idolatrous priests were not ignorant. They were not men who did not know what GOD disapproves of. Like Jeroboam, they did not repent. Jeroboam did not ask the prophet to pray for his sin to be forgiven. What mattered to him was that his hand be restored . Now that his hand was restored, he wanted to keep up appearances. He wanted to use the credibility, the reputation, the integrity of the prophet to seduce the people . This is a strategy of the devil. The false rub shoulders with the real ones to have an audience, so that people judge them by their associations and not by their fruits (attitudes, character, words, actions). Jeroboam wanted to give the expression to others that he and the prophet are friends. And so if he is friends with the prophet, who is friends with GOD, then it is he who is Jeroboam who is friends with GOD. 🙂 There are people you should not eat with, take pictures with, or sit at your table with. Dear entrepreneur, there are people and companies you should not do business with. Dear servant of GOD, there are people and ministries you should not collaborate with. There are people who rely on your reputation or are waiting for your elevation, so they can make a name for themselves . The prophet refused Jeroboam's offer. He said, " Even if you gave me half of your palace, I would not go with you. I will eat nothing and drink nothing in that place ..." The prophet refused to give in to the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, and the temptation of the flesh . The prophet said, I will not go with you and take nothing from that place . Taking nothing from that place meant taking nothing from Jeroboam, the idolatrous priests, Jeroboam's advisors, and the people of the Northern Kingdom. I trust you remember the article Don't Accept Every Gift . Jeroboam had dedicated all that he possessed to idols and had declared himself a priest of these idols. GOD had pronounced judgment on Jeroboam, and he hadn't repented. The prophet had been sent to pronounce judgment. Nothing more, nothing less. There was no valid reason to receive anything. You can't bribe GOD. Maybe if he had stopped, his food and drink would have been poisoned. Maybe someone would have set a trap for him. Maybe someone would have tried to kill him. I don't know, but GOD knows. Questions How can we know if a word is addressed to us from GOD? How should we behave when GOD warns us? What is real repentance? How should we behave towards people like Jeroboam? Kalai vaṇakkam strength! Ouaembê wisdom! It is a time of judgment for some. A time of testing for some and a time of elevation for others. Keep piety, justice, and faith (Hosea 12:7). After the king, the most powerful men are the one who advises the King and the one who has the favor of the people. They too will be tempted, judged, struck, or rewarded. May there be no attack in your country. But if it does happen, may GOD preserve you. Your ears are not dustbins for receiving discussions that do not edify. Stay away from bad company. " Behold, the happy man! He does not listen to the advice of evil people, he does not follow the example of evildoers, he does not sit with mockers. On the contrary, he loves the teaching of the LORD. " (Psalm 1:1-2, NKJV) Our study text is chapter 13 of the 1st book of Kings. Before we get there, I'll give you the context of this story. 🙂 In several Bible translations, the one who is called " a man of GOD " is called "a young prophet." In the original Hebrew texts and in the French Jewish Bible it is written " a man of GOD " and "not a young prophet ." 1. The context (1 Kings, chapters 11 and 12) Solomon, son of David, turned away from the LORD. At the end of his life, he was an idolater (1 Kings 11:1-41). After his death, GOD did not allow his son Rehoboam to reign over all 12 tribes of Israel. In the south, two tribes (Judah and Benjamin) remained loyal to Rehoboam. They formed the Kingdom of Judah, with Jerusalem as its capital. In the north, ten tribes formed the Kingdom of Israel, also called the Kingdom of Samaria or the Northern Kingdom. They chose Jeroboam, a former officer of Solomon, as their king (1 Kings 12:1-33). The capital of this kingdom was Shechem, also spelled Shechem (near Samaria), then Penuel. The Northern Kingdom had several capitals: Shechem, Penuel, and Samaria. Shechem was initially the capital. But during his reign, Jeroboam moved the capital to Penuel. Samaria became the capital long after Jeroboam's reign. In Jeroboam's time, Samaria was not yet a city , and the Northern Kingdom was not yet called the Kingdom of Samaria. Note that Jeroboam did not raise the people against Rehoboam. GOD chose him. Through the prophet Ahijah, GOD announced that he will entrust 10 tribes to Jeroboam (1 Kings 11:29-40). Solomon, having learned of this, tried to have him killed, but Jeroboam hid in Egypt until Solomon's death. Upon King Solomon's death, Jeroboam returned to Israel. The 10 tribes, remembering the words of the prophet Ahijah, chose him as king. The tribe of Levi had a special status. Unlike the other tribes, it did not have a dedicated region but cities scattered throughout the regions of the other tribes. The tribe of Levi was dedicated to the LORD and to the service of the temple. It is therefore very likely that many of them, if not all, settled in Jerusalem. ❖ (Deuteronomy 18:1-8, NKJV) Moses said, " The Levitical priests and the rest of the people of Levi will not inherit land like the rest of Israel. They will eat the sacrifices offered to the LORD and the rest of his possessions. The Levites will not have territory among the rest of Israel . " (Deuteronomy 18:1-8, NKJV) ❖ (1 Kings 11:37-40, Segond 21) : “ 37 I will take you to reign over all the territory you want and you will be king of Israel. 38 If you obey all that I command you, and walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as my servant David did, then I will be with you and build you a stable house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you. 39 I will thus humble the descendants of David, but it will not be forever. ' 40 Solomon sought to kill Jeroboam, but he rose up and fled to Egypt to Shishak, king of Egypt. He remained in Egypt until Solomon's death. " Despite the division of the Kingdom, Jerusalem remained the religious capital of the 12 tribes. The LORD's temple was located there. Jeroboam thought that if the 10 tribes of his kingdom continued to go to Jerusalem (capital of the Kingdom of Judah), they would either commit themselves to Rehoboam or reconcile with the other 2 tribes and kill him and his son. With the encouragement of his advisors, he decided to institute idolatry to divert and manipulate the people (1 Kings 12:25-33). He erected two statues of golden calves, which he placed in Bethel and Dan. He told the people that these statues represented the LORD. He was inspired by what Aaron had done in the desert (Exodus 32:1-10). Jeroboam went further, he built false places of worship (called high places). He established priests who did not belong to the tribe of Levi, the tribe dedicated to the service of GOD and the temple of Israel. He established himself as a priest. To discourage the people from going to Jerusalem, he established celebrations on dates identical to the festivals celebrated in Jerusalem. 🙂 I think it is useful to stop to highlight and reflect on a few points. Solomon's decisions and actions led the LORD to remove his kingship over 10 tribes. It was because of the promise that GOD had made to David that the tribes of Judah and Benjamin remained faithful to Rehoboam (David's grandson). GOD is the one who chose Jeroboam as king over 10 tribes. Jeroboam did not become king by his own efforts. GOD had warned Jeroboam, and therefore all 12 tribes, that the division was to be temporary. GOD had promised Jeroboam that if he walked in the ways of the LORD, he would establish him permanently. This was clearly stated from the beginning . Despite this, Jeroboam accepted the devil's thoughts, convincing him that he could remain king without GOD's help. Jeroboam became so proud that he decided to establish a new cult. Questions What should have been Jeroboam's attitude? Were Jerobam's advisors good advisors? What does the Bible say about idolatry? Can we serve GOD in any way? What should have been the attitude of the ten tribes when Jeroboam began to build high places? What should be our attitude toward idolatry, false teachings, and pagan customs? Others are lost, unsure of their whereabouts or how to reach their families. Others are sadly already dead, but their families don't know. We can pray for those who are alive. We can save someone through our prayers. Let us pray in tongues and with understanding. Let us begin by praying in tongues. Let us persevere in praying in tongues. I encourage us to pray in tongues at least 30 minutes before saying anything with understanding. Let the HOLY SPIRIT pray with you and inspire your prayer. Don't ask GOD to show you a face or give you a name. We don't pray for supernatural experiences. We pray for GOD to intervene, for angels to intervene, for a turnaround. If he wants, the HOLY SPIRIT can show you a face or give you a name. But don't let that distract you. You don't need to know your neighbor to pray for him. You didn't know the LORD, but he was already praying for you. Do as JESUS did: pray. Someone needs your prayer, my prayer, our prayers. Pray with your heart. Say with us: FATHER, I join in the faith of a brother, a sister, a father, a mother, someone who expects you. I join in the prayer of a family, a grandfather, a grandmother. I join in the sigh of a child, a teenager. I join in the request of a woman, a man. Deveriam governar com os valores do Reino: amor, integridade, justiça, paz etc. DEUS disse: “[...] Dominem sobre os peixes do mar, sobre as aves dos céus, e sobre todos os animais que rastejam sobre a terra .” (Gênesis 1:28). Adão e Eva não tinham autoridade sobre o diabo, mas tinham domínio sobre todas as coisas na terra. O diabo não pode reinar onde DEUS reina. Ele não podia estender o reino das trevas na terra enquanto Adão fosse leal a DEUS. Ou seja, enquanto Adão fosse submisso e fiel a DEUS. No direito empresarial, há um tipo de contrato chamado contrato de uso. É um acordo no qual uma das partes, o proprietário, cede à outra o direito de usar um bem por um tempo determinado. O proprietário continua sendo o dono, mas permite que a outra parte usufrua do bem. Adão e Eva tinham uma espécie de contrato de uso com DEUS em relação à terra.  Mas, ao desobedecerem, trocaram esse direito pelo conhecimento do bem e do mal. Eles caíram na armadilha das meias verdades. O conhecimento do bem e do mal não é o desejo de fazer o bem, nem o discernimento do bem, muito menos a capacidade de resistir ao mal . A árvore proibida não era a do conhecimento do bem, mas a do conhecimento do bem e do mal. Em outras palavras, a árvore da confusão, da mistura, da mentira. Como vimos há alguns meses, DEUS nunca mente. Ele é Amor, Verdade e Santidade. Assim como um pé de cacau não pode dar mamão, a verdade não pode produzir mentira . DEUS é eternamente e perfeitamente Onisciente, Onipresente, Onipotente, Transcendente e Imutável. Ele não precisa mentir. Ele cria tudo pela sua palavra. E Ele mesmo declara que odeia a mentira. Mais uma vez: DEUS nunca mente . O pecado é a natureza do diabo. Ele é mentiroso e peca desde o princípio (João 8:44; 1 João 3:7). Pecado é qualquer pensamento ou ação contrária à natureza de DEUS (Verdade, Amor, Santidade), à sua pessoa ou à sua vontade. A natureza pecaminosa é a inclinação para o pecado, para desobedecer a DEUS, para dizer e fazer o que é mal (a si mesmo ou aos outros). De certa forma, a natureza pecaminosa é como um código genético, uma gangrena que corrompe a mente, a alma e o corpo. Quanto mais as pessoas se afastam de DEUS, mais esse código se transmite e mais a gangrena se espalha.  Adão e Eva receberam a natureza pecaminosa ao comerem do fruto proibido. Ao desobedecerem a DEUS, deram ao diabo o poder de influenciar o Homem, o que lhe pertence e tudo o que está sujeito a ele.  (Gênesis 3; Mateus 4:9; Lucas 4:7; 1 João 5:19; João 14:30). Entre o que está sujeito a Adão estão seus descendentes e tudo o que DEUS lhe deu autoridade e direito de desfrutar. Foi assim que o diabo se tornou o príncipe deste mundo. Há um tempo marcado para o fim do reinado das trevas (Apocalipse 20). O diabo é o príncipe do mundo até o fim do contrato de Adão (1 João 5:19, NAA). DEUS é eternamente e perfeitamente Onisciente, Onipresente, Onipotente, Transcendente e Imutável. Ele é e sempre será o dono da terra. Ele pode intervir a qualquer momento na terra. DEUS pode tudo, mas Ele não fará tudo sem o Homem.  DEUS não violará o livre-arbítrio que deu ao homem, mas Ele não deixará o Homem morrer sem lhe oferecer uma alternativa. Uma emenda é uma mudança em toda ou parte de uma lei ou um projeto de lei. Uma emenda a um contrato é uma modificação, correção, esclarecimento ou supressão de uma cláusula de determinado contrato assinado. Por meio de JESUS CRISTO, DEUS acrescentou uma emenda à lei do pecado e da morte, e um adendo ao contrato original com Adão. A emenda é a lei do Espírito (Romanos 8:2). O adendo é a autoridade dada por JESUS e a unção recebida pelo ESPÍRITO SANTO. JESUS se entregou pela remissão dos pecados. Ele o fez por todos, sem distinção e sem exceção. Mas DEUS não se impõe a nós. Cabe a nós aceitar sua mão estendida. Pelo seu sacrifício, JESUS obteve a remissão dos nossos pecados e a salvação da humanidade. Ele pagou a pena do pecado (Mateus 26:28; Colossenses 2:14-15; Efésios 1:7; Efésios 2:5; Gálatas 4:3-7; Tito 2:14; Romanos 6:23; 1 Coríntios 6:20; Gálatas 3:13; Isaías 44:21-22; 1 Pedro 1:18-20). Ele despojou publicamente as autoridades e dominações das trevas. Ele ressuscitou e está vivo para sempre. As chaves da morte e do inferno estão nas mãos de JESUS, e não do diabo (Apocalipse 1:18). Ele é a ressurreição e a vida (João 11:25). Ele dá vida ao que estava morto e restaura o que foi destruído. JESUS triunfou para que nós também possamos triunfar. Por isso, Ele nos dá sua vida, a autoridade do seu nome e a sua paz  (Lucas 10:19-21; Mateus 10:8; Marcos 16:16-18; João 14:27). Para lembrarmos: JESUS é o caminho, a Verdade, a Vida e a Ressurreição  (João 14:6; João 11:25). Ele é também a Justiça de DEUS  (Romanos 3:22), o Príncipe da Paz (Isaías 9:5; Romanos 5:1) e a Alegria de DEUS, o PAI  (Mateus 3:17). O ESPÍRITO SANTO é: O outro Consolador (João 14:16) O Espírito da verdade (João 14:17) Enviado pelo PAI e por JESUS para dar testemunho de JESUS (João 14:26; João 15:26) Para nos consolar, ensinar, lembrar das palavras de JESUS, guiar, orientar, (João 14:26; João 16:13) Para convencer o mundo do pecado, da justiça e do juízo (João 16:8) Para glorificar JESUS (João 16:14) Para ajudar a Igreja, o corpo de CRISTO (Atos 9:31) Para curar (Romanos 8:11) Para nos fazer conscientes da nossa identidade como filhos de DEUS (Romanos 8:16) Para nos ajudar em nossas fraquezas e orar conosco (Romanos 8:26) Para nos ajudar a manifestar o caráter de CRISTO e o fruto do Espírito (Gálatas 5:22; 2 Coríntios 3:18) Para nos equipar com dons espirituais e nos ensinar a usá-los (1 Coríntios 12:8-11; Atos 10:38; Atos 13:2) Para nos revestir e nos ensinar a manejar as armas espirituais (Efésios 6:13-17) Para clamar conosco pela volta de CRISTO (Apocalipse 22:17). O ESPÍRITO SANTO é  responsável pela educação, preparação, capacitação e crescimento dos santos.  É Ele quem dá discernimento e refuta as mentiras do diabo. Ele trabalha para o pleno cumprimento da vontade de DEUS na terra, nos homens, através dos homens, e juntamente com JESUS, pelos homens. DEUS é PAI, FILHO e ESPÍRITO SANTO. Eles são UM. Santificar o nome de DEUS é santificar o nome do PAI, do FILHO e do ESPÍRITO SANTO. ⇒ O PAI deu seu nome ao FILHO, que junto com o PAI, deu seu nome ao ESPÍRITO SANTO. O ESPÍRITO SANTO é quem formou um corpo para a Palavra (o FILHO) para que ela pudesse habitar entre os homens e ser o caminho pelo qual eles recebem a Salvação. O ESPÍRITO SANTO (e não um anjo) concebeu o corpo de JESUS CRISTO. ⇒  Só DEUS pode conter DEUS e só DEUS pode revelar DEUS. Não há Reino de DEUS sem o ESPÍRITO SANTO. « Porque  o reino de DEUS não é comida nem bebida , mas justiça, e paz, e alegria no ESPÍRITO SANTO .» (Romanos 14:17, BKJ). Existem várias definições de justiça: O caráter do que está de acordo com a verdade, a ética e a lei. O justo reconhecimento, apreço e respeito pelos direitos e méritos de cada pessoa. A reparação da desigualdade ou a punição de uma falta. O conjunto de princípios, valores, instituições, leis e práticas que visam estabelecer, preservar, assegurar e melhorar o respeito aos direitos, o reconhecimento dos méritos e a punição ao descumprimento desses. A paz é um estado, uma escolha e um dom. Dizemos que um país está em paz quando não está em guerra ou em conflito armado. A paz não se alegra com a injustiça e não é passiva diante dela. A passividade não repara a injustiça, apenas adia o conflito. A justiça precede a paz. Mas sem amor e verdade, a paz não dura. A paz é, portanto, a escolha do amor e da verdade, resultando na ausência de conflito. Para nós, cristãos, a paz é um dom gratuito de DEUS (Filipenses 4:7; Mateus 11:28; João 14:27; 2 Tessalonicenses 3:16; Isaías 26:3). A alegria do ESPÍRITO SANTO não depende das circunstâncias, ou seja, do que acontece ao nosso redor. Quando dizemos : “Venha o Teu Reino”, estamos dizendo: Que o amor, a verdade e a comunhão com o ESPÍRITO SANTO estejam conosco. Que Ele exerça plenamente o seu ministério. Que nosso caráter, nossas famílias, relacionamentos, instituições e governos testemunhem e reflitam os teus valores. Whenever we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to our brothers and sisters in the faith (Galatians 6:10). For GOD is not unjust, to forget our work and the love we show for his name, in that we have ministered and still minister to the saints (Hebrews 6:10). Our houses will not lack anything. His faithfulness is our assurance. Let us make good use of the grace we have received and walk in humility . " Paul and Silas replied, " Believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and you will be saved—you and your household. " (Acts 16:31, NIV) “ For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For GOD did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved . Those we love? Those who have contributed to making us the people we are or are becoming? Those who will live after us? Those who will die before us? I have noted below some verses with which we can pray for them and encourage us to continue praying, when we feel discouraged. Let us pray that the Word finds fertile ground in them. Let us pray that they remember JESUS. Let us pray that lies, prejudices, strongholds and addictions fall. Let us pray that the love of GOD heals their souls. Let us pray that they have good company. Let us ask God for the ability to pray without ceasing. Let us ask GOD for forgiveness for their sins. Let us invoke the blood of JESUS. Let us cast out the evil spirits that oppress them. Let us pray for their repentance. 🙂 Let us pray in tongues and with understanding. Let us mention their names while praying and thank JESUS.
